Description

We are currently looking for an Operations Representative to join our team. This position will be responsible for reviewing daily discrepancy reports and taking appropriate action to ensure issues are addressed in a timely fashion. It will involve researching account activity on front and back end systems to determine what has occurred and then taking corrective action as required. This will at times involve working with employees from different departments as well as outside firms. It will also sometimes be necessary to review activity in specific accounts and then help explain to trading and/or customer service what has occurred so that they can convey the information on to customers.

Responsibilities

· Review daily discrepancy reports and take corrective action in a timely fashion.

· Research account activity on various different systems.

· Process adjustments on front and back end systems.

· Investigate and help explain account activity to fellow employees.

· Assist with additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications

· Previous operations experience gained at a brokerage firm – ideally in the retail sector.

· Broad knowledge of the securities industry as well as products – reconciliation, corporate actions, dividends, derivatives processing, trading, clearing, etc.

· Inquisitive nature combined with a desire to learn how the industry functions.

· Professional, detail oriented personality with good communication skills.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize the importance of various issues.

· Series 3, 4, & 7 preferred.
