ENGINEER - MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR SHIFTS, Jr Military Officer

Our FORTUNE 500 client ...producer of industrial and hi-tech products and associated services with operations in Wilmington, North Carolina, currently has an opening for Manufacturing Supervisor (Shifts). Position requires minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing. Background must include BS Engineering degree and demonstrated leadership skills. Junior Military Officers ( JMO ) with Engineering degrees are encouraged to apply.

Manufacturing Supervisor / Engineer /JMO

Scope of Position:
- Coordinates, supervises, and coaches the efforts of employees in the manufacturing of company products.
- Responsible for the manufacturing systems/processes necessary to operate a manufacturing facility: equipment, layout, workflow, safety, time standards, capacity utilization, process/equipment improvements.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Leadership / Supervisory experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
- Decision making and prioritization
- Able to work in a team based environment
- Strong computer skills (working knowledge and application of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Education/Experience:
4 year Engineering degree.
2-5 years Supervisory Experience
Junior Military Officers ( JMO ) with Engineering degrees are encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule:
Rotating 12 hour shifts

Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of Performance Excellence, DMAIC and 6 Sigma.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques.

Soft Skills:
- Communication (within team, within plant, external to plant)
- Strong interpersonal skills – able to effectively communicate at all levels using verbal and written media.
- Embrace change enthusiastically
- Give constructive feedback, effectively reward and discipline.
- Self motivated, energetic individual.

Location: Wilmington, NC
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
