 Functions under the direction of a RN. Assists other health care providers with safe, age appropriate and culturally aware care. Performs basic care functions such as vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, dressing and splint application, supply maintenance, and transporting patients. Excellent customer service and team work skills. Must have basic computer skills. Preferred ED experience. Required Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing; current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the State of Georgia; Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred; national certification in area of specialty preferred.
Required Minimum Experience: One (1) year Emergency Services nursing practice in an hospital environment required.
Required Skills: Ability to read, write and speak the English language; Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; Inter- and intra-departmental coordination of patient care activities; Delegation skills required; Ability to multi-task essential; Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations essential; Strong detail orientation required; Computer skills required; Personal time management skills are required; Compliance with the American Nurses' Association Code of Ethics for Professional Nurses is required; Demonstrates knowledge of and practices within parameters outlined in Georgia Registered Professional Nurse Practice Act.Thank you for your interest in WellStar.
