Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Machining - Scroll Pumps/R&D: Varian Inc.

Varian, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer for their Vacuum Technologies business unit. Your responsibilities will be to:

*Define and implement machining processes, equipment, tooling, and fixtures for new product introductions

*Generate and implement continuous improvement of machining processes for quality, cost, and lead time

*Apply problem-solving and process-improvement tools to solve issues of quality, cost, productivity, and delivery

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

*Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
*7-10 years of work experience as a practicing manufacturing engineer for CNC machining processes as below:
+Developing, implementing, improving, and sustaining machining processes for high-precision components (feature position and profile tolerances 0.0005" ~ 0.002") in a mass-production environment.
+Horizontal machining centers and flexible machining cells
+CNC programming experience and ability to generate complete programs
+Cutting tool management
+Programming and operating coordinate measurement machines (CMMs)
+Training and experience with modern TQM tools, e.g.:
--Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow, TAKT time
--Process FMEA, Control Plan
--Rapid Dye Change
--Seven Tools of QC, control charts, process capability indices, etc.
+Cost reduction for machined components ina mass-production environment
