Sales Manager – Chicago , IL

Base Salary - $75K - $80K plus bonus

Qualification Requirements:

§ Candidate must have at least 2 years sales experience and the experience must be in selling international freight forwarding services air and ocean as well as import and export transportation services.

§ Previous experience and having a broad base in knowledge of the international freight forwarding industry.

§ Having previous management skills (3+ years) or strong leadership skills.

§ Expertise in a broad range of PC software and PC applications (Microsoft products: word, excel, PowerPoint, and access).

§ Excellence in organizational and reporting skills is a must.

§ Proven excellence in written and oral communication skills.

§ Possess excellent organizational and reporting skills.

§ Must have a valid driver’s license and own a car

§ Overnight travel may be required including foreign travel.

Responsibilities:

§ Directly supervise the sales staff in the Branch office.

§ Responsibilities include finding, interviewing, hiring, and training employees.

§ Additional responsibilities are planning, coaching, assigning, and directing work.

§ Obtaining and maintaining suitable profit, tonnage R/O and S/L and IP sales call production from the Branch Office Account Executives.

§ Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, and address complaints and resolve problems.

§ Make 20 outside sales calls per month to existing or potential clients and can be on your own or with Account Executives. (Joint calls should help mentor and coach sales techniques so that you develop those skills in the Account Executive)

§ Responsible for any combination of 10 R?O’, S/Ls or Powers of Attorney in a given month.

§ Manage and maintain correct monthly sales reporting procedures at the Branch.

§ Prepare Sales manager’s monthly Sales Report, which include IP-In Person Sales Call Report, Profit Report, and Monthly Summary.

§ Assist in developing and maintaining more effective communications between the Branch Office and Other Worldwide offices and partners.
