Software Engineer - Layer 2-4 Protocols

Responsibilities

  • Senior, hands-on position focused on developing high performance networking software running on Cavium Octeon. Particular focus on layer 2-4 protocols
  • Develop functional specifications and design documents
  • Implement software in accordance with product requirements and specified software architecture.
  • Analyze performance and optimize as needed
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, debug complex problems and drive them to closure

Qualifications

  • BS/MS with 10+ years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of high performance networking, TCP/IP software development, embedded systems and real-time operating systems
  • Strong understanding of issues and design trade-offs and issues in developing high speed, mission critical networking systems
  • Experience with Cavium Octeon development environment and associated tools is a plus
