POSITION SUMMARY:
The Industrial Controls Sales Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining ICM’s dominance in the time delay, relay and industrial control market with particular in developing the electrical wholesale distribution channel. Establish and direct sales rep. activities in a coordinated team effort in order to achieve corporate business goals and optimize market penetration; targeting specific competitors business.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manages the relationship between the Customer and the company
- Establishes an Industrial Controls sales rep force
- Coordinates forecasting of customer requirements with Customer service and Operations
- Directs the activities and supports the sales force described above
- Develops distribution channels to best bring ICM product to market.
- Interfaces with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Corporate Sales on pricing, product, delivery, quality and manufacturing issues.
- Responsible for the continuous development of a strong working relationship with accounts
- Champions customer perception of ICM products and ICM as a world-class supplier of electronic controls.
- Champions OEM account requests for custom controls.
- Review opportunities with ICM President and VP of Engineering to determine future of the program.
- NOTE: Custom programs will be managed by Engineering until the product has passed through the Engineering Check Sample (ESC) phase. Manufacture Engineering will manage through the Manufacture Check Sample (MCS) phase and into production.
- Maintains accountability for sales results
- Analyzes results, market trends and new opportunities in the industry in order to adopt changes in the Market. Aid in establishing direction to improve product quality/design that would yield profitable growth.
- Assist in the development of measurements to assess continuous improvement.
- Formulates and implements sales budget including staffing, capital and expenses. Monitors performance and variance to budget and takes action as appropriate to achieve plan.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree in Business or BS in Engineering and/or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years Sales Management experience desired
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong Business / Strategic Planning, Financial and analytical skills
- Strong Leadership, Communication and Organizational skills
- Aggressive and willing to take risks
- Results / Goal oriented
- Bilingual a strong plus
- PC Skills: MS Office, Word, Excel, Power Point
- Knowledge of ICM product a plus
