Assistant Controller-San Antonio: Credit Union Employment Resources

Assist the controller in managing the operations of the Accounting Department. In the controller's absence, monitor the overall operation of the accounting function, ensuring quality and timely service to members and credit union personnel. Manage the operations to include general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable, accruals, prepaids and fixed asset processing, etc. Assist with the end-of-month general ledger closing process and end-of-month variance analysis. Prepare and update departmental procedures, handle special projects and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum five years accounting experience required

· Financial institution accounting experience preferred

· Minimum three years supervisory experience

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required

· Proficient in Word and Excel, and able to navigate and utilize 3rd party accounting applications

· Requires teamwork and dedication to developing strong relationships with co-workers

· Must have excellent organizational, communicative, and interpersonal skills along with being motivated and reliable
