We are currently seeking a talented Pricing Optimization Analyst for our San Antonio, TX facility.

As a Pricing Optimization Analyst for USAA you will perform advanced accounting, financial reporting and analysis functions. Conducts financial research and analysis and recommends solutions to financial and operational issues.

JOB DUTIES

  • Prepares reviews and analyzes advanced financial data and reports. Coordinates with other departments regarding financial accounting or reporting matters.
  • Interprets information, identifies opportunities, and implements process improvements to increase work efficiencies, optimize competitive advantage, and contribute to the achievement of business goals and objectives.
  • Makes decisions concerning the accounting and/or reporting treatment of financial information and recommends solutions.
  • Performs special studies, research and analysis of financial issues with recommendations for courses of action.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Strong knowledge of the principles and theories of finance, accounting, and/or other related business fields and disciplines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and functionalities of corporate financial systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of progressive financial experience.

*Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.

Must complete 12 months in current position (from date of hire or date of placement), or must have manager's approval prior to posting.

Preferred:

  • Experience developing and enhancing pricing optimization models integrating supply-side and demand-side analytics
  • Experience with managing large amounts of data and the ability to define and communicate data requirements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of demand analytics (quantification of customer value, price elasticity of demand, etc.) and its application in pricing.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of cost/risk analytics (loss curves, liquidation curves, economic capital, expense, funding costs, other revenues, etc.) and its application in pricing.
  • 2-5 years knowledge of pricing analytics (business case development, ROI, EBIT, P&L, capital).
  • Demonstrates understanding of USAA bank products and member landscape.
  • Programming skills (VBA, etc.) for the creation of holistic price optimization models.
  • Experience working with data bases (MS Access, SQL).
  • Technical experience in developing loss or liquidation curves, economic capital, ALM analysis for pricing or demand curves.
