POSITION OVERVIEW
This Technical Trainer opportunity is a critical component of the EMC Inside Sales career development program. This program is focused on early-career stage sales professionals by providing a unique training and experiential opportunity designed to advance the next generation of Sales Leaders at EMC.

The role is heavily geared towards the creation, modification and delivery of technical content covering all EMC's primary product solutions. Curriculum will specifically focus on:

Storage Platforms, Networked Storage, Storage Management, Business Continuity, Back-up, Recovery & Archiving offerings (Avamar, Networker, Data Protection Advisor, HomeBase, RecoverPoint, and Data Domain). Also, RSA Security and IT Resource Management application training will be delivered.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategize with program leaders regarding the overall technical training objectives, required resources and course scheduling designed to provide the Sales Associates with a solid technical understanding of EMC’s primary product solutions. Additionally, you will:


  • Anticipate business needs for programs/training and influence key stakeholders

  • Act as a consultant to the Inside Sales Productivity Manager and Inside Sales Director

  • Analyzes EMC's Inside Sales training requirements, lead curriculum and courseware design

  • Works cross functionally with team members, other internal technical and training organizations and key stakeholders at different levels to proactively identify business needs and design, develop and deliver appropriate training solutions (including the use of both internal and external vendor resources)


REQUIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3-5 years direct technical curriculum development and delivery to a business audience.

  • Must have specific technical competencies in the following technologies: Storage infrastructure, networking, IT data center operations, operating systems and IT applications

  • Must be available to travel 5-10%.

  • Exceptional presentation skills, especially in a highly collaborative environment

  • Measurable project management skills

  • Ability to adapt to change in audiences and continue to drive results in a fast-changing environment

  • Strong desire to teach, coach and develop non-technical personnel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills resulting in the ability to influence others.



  • Conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure.
