Mountain America Credit Union is seeking a Property & Casualty Insurance Agent for our corporate office in West Jordan, UT; to prospect, quote, sell, and service insurance policies to members of the Credit Union.
Responsibilities and Skills:

• Exhibit outstanding owner service skills, customer service skills and sales skills.
• Has excellent knowledge of insurance needs, products and services.
• Provide accurate quoting on company specific software.
• Determine appropriate coverage for insured’s and make appropriate recommendations regarding coverage.
• Complete all application and obtain required paperwork and signatures in order to process the applications.
• Accurately document all calls, meetings, correspondence and quote information in the Agency Management System.
• Make outbound calls on referrals made into the Agency by the Credit Union.
• Collect cash, check or credit card payments for insurance policies.
• Rewrite policies as necessary in order to maintain the customer in the agency.
• Respond in a timely matter to all agent write backs from underwriters or CSR’s.
• Comply with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC (funds availability), Regulation DD (TIS) and other regulations as required by law as it relates to his/her position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Abilities usually acquired in two years of related work experience. Have a current Property & Casualty license in the State of Utah. Knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures, and insurance products and services. Must have a good working knowledge of computer and programs such as excel & word. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to communicate effectively and exhibit strong people skills. Knowledge of Agency Management System (AMS 360) or ability to learn the system. Must have a valid Utah driver’s license and a good driving record.
