EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3)years progressive nursing experience. Ability to plan, organize and administer the management function of Nursing Services, and to analyze nursing and auxiliary services to improve quality of patient care.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Must possess and maintain a current Texas License for Registered Nurse.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger/fine dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze. Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting/carrying up to 20 poundsand be able to push/pull,kneel, walk, sit, crouch/squat, flex/position,/twist, stand,and reach.

SUMMARY: Provides effective and coordinated leadership to Nursing Services. Participates with leaders, management, medical staff and clinical areas in decision making and processes related to patient care programs, policies, procedures, and the hospital's plan for providing patient care. Implements an effective and ongoing program to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of patient care. Assists facility CNO in all aspects of Patient Care. Serves as CNO in Chief Nursing Officers absence. Other related duties as assigned
