Position Guidelines – Floor Supervisor
The Floor Supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager on duty in handling the daily responsibilities of running the sales floor. The Floor Supervisor must help create a customer service environment by motivating the sales staff, communicating daily goals, assisting management in operational functions and providing the leadership necessary to attain all goals. Some of the expectations of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Customer Service
· Monitors floor to maintain a sales orientated environment
· Provides each associate with personal daily sales goals
· Motivates sales staff by setting a positive example at all times
· Utilizes daily sales planner and “Figure 8’s” to monitor floor activities and ensure proper floor coverage
· Functions as an effective Sales Team Leader
· Ensures customer service standards are being maintained by Sales Associates
· Possesses a knowledge of sales plans and goals and helps communicate them to the sales staff
· Helps create a positive and upbeat store environment
· Monitors hourly sales and conversion rates and communicates their significance to the sales staff
· Proactively greets all customers
· Displays an awareness of store sales plan
· Maintains an outgoing, friendly, helpful and upbeat manner
· Displays energy and excitement
· Shows self motivation to begin and complete tasks
· Works to build repeat customers by adding names to the store mailing list
· Communicates clearly and effectively to customers information on quality, fit, fabric, price, value, style and care
· Provides exceptional Customer Service in the fitting room (Ex: Escorting customer to a room, getting different sizes and keeping rooms neat and organized)
· Provides exceptional customer service at the cash register
· Communicates to associates the importance of servicing customers over completing assigned tasks
Operations
· Performs the following register functions: sales, returns, exchanges, charge sends, employee sales
· Performs Opening and Closing functions as needed
· Supervises Sales Associates at the cash wrap
· Understands and communicates to sales associates all company policies and procedures as outlined in the associate handbook |
