Overview
**Position located in Dallas, TX

As a member of the EMC|RMSG Practice, the candidate we are seeking will –

• Be a Program/Project Manager with structured program/project management experience in software/systems engineering projects and in IT / network infrastructures. Structured business process analysis experience is a plus.


• Be responsible for managing the life cycle of complex, moderate to high risk software/systems engineering projects from architectural design through O&M turnover to a client.


• Be responsible for the development and execution of implementation plans that articulate the role of EMC in the delivery of the designed solution.


• Act as a primary interface to the customer, vendors and all EMC personnel associated with the engagement.


• Ensure cross-organizational activities are coordinated with a “One EMC” face to the client.


• Provide limited sales support for related customer presentations.


• Work under the general direction of the RMSG PMO Manager.

Responsibilities
· Responsible for the delivery of the detailed Statement of Work (SOW) and Services Proposal content developed for the customer, based upon customer requirements and system architecture.
· Prepares detailed project plans, strategies and provides program/project management for the implementation of an engagement within the standards of the Project Management Model (PM2). Defines project scope, captured in the Services Statement of Work, by working closely with the customer and Sales to identify specific customer requirements. Capable of categorizing requirements into a project plan detailing schedules, controls, resources, costs and daily tasks. Responsible for creating goals and milestones within a program/project to ensure EMC's commitments to the customer are achieved.
· Responsible for the implementation and daily management of activities, including coordination with EMC employees or Partner Resources to ensures programs/projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer and sales.
· Prepares, maintains and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures. Holds responsibility for achieving the EMC Bar of Excellence at the highest level of Customer Satisfaction for every customer.
· Maintains and submits clear and concise activity, progress, and labor time usage (when applicable) reports to customers, management, and sales.
· Communicates to all EMC concerned parties any existing or potential customer escalation issues. Proactively follows the EMC escalation and change control process.
· Responsible for following and executing EMC’s revenue recognition rules and policies. Works with the Program Delivery Management to coordinate and validate weekly revenue forecasts.
· Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
· Articulates the full value of the EMC Solutions and EMC Services business benefit to the customer. Provides a single point of contact during the project for all aspects of the engagement. Ensures a strong and seamless relationship by maintaining communications about the program/project to the team: sales, customers and delivery personnel.
· Performs other duties as required.
Skills
· Structured program/project management skills. PMP training a plus
· Excellent Communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize / multi-task multiple projects and deliverables.
· Able to work in a highly matrixed organization. Has demonstrated cross-functional skills.
· Must have working familiarity with Microsoft product sets, including MS Project.
· Financial and analytical experience.
Recommended Education required (or equivalent experience): Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field.
Recommended Experience required: minimum 8 to 12 years of related structured project management experience focused on delivery/deployment of infrastructure technology solutions. Emphasis on software/systems integration projects a strong plus.
Certificate(s):

• PMI certification or other formal project management training desirable.


• ITIL certifications a strong plus.

Travel up to 50%.
Position may be located in the following areas: NY/NJ, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, Irvine
Must be eligible for minimum US DoD Secret security clearance.
