Cost and Fixed Assets Accountant: Controllers Group

Duties & Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting:

Ø Support the Cost Manager to generate, monitor, and recommend proper cost valuations for products

Ø Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and year-end cost accounting entries

Ø Assist with monthly close process

Ø Maintain standard costs

Ø Analyze cost variances such as yield variances, PPV, cycle count, etc. and recommend cost controls

Ø Run Current Surplus Inventory Report and prepare for Excess & Obsolete inventory review by the Operations managers

Ø Review and audit cycle counts and support year-end physical count

Ø Prepare COGS schedules and analysis as appropriate

Ø Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports to include

o Budget vs. actual operating expense analysis

o Revenue and bookings results with comparison to plan/forecast

o Fluctuation analyses of all inventory accounts

o Key performance metrics (dashboard), etc.

o Ad-hoc analyses and reports

Ø Assist with quarterly forecasting and annual operating plan

Ø Support audit fieldwork and ensure proper documentation

Fixed Assets:

Ø Ensure proper and timely recording of Property, Plant & Equipment activities in accordance with US GAAP

Ø Maintain and review Asset Management sub-ledger detail and supporting documentation

Ø Prepare related journal entries

Ø Prepare monthly reconciliation of PP&E and related accounts such depreciation, quarterly & annual roll-forward worksheets to the G/L, and fluctuation analyses of related accounts

Ø Ensure compliance with corporate policies and related capital budget

Ø Monitor and manage Construction in Progress (CIP) or self-constructed assets and project accounting

Ø Perform other related duties as assigned by management
