Digital Design Engineer

The candidate will focus on digital design and verification of mixed signal circuits. The devices may include Microcontrollers, A/D, D/A, RAMs, ROMs, Flash and a variety of peripherals. The candidate should be experienced in the architectural aspects of Microcontrollers and implementing digital designs in Verilog using industry standard CAD tools such as Cadence Incisive platform. Tasks include:

– Logic design/simulation/synthesis, timing-analysis, device-debug/characterization.

– Setup simulation environment and assist in testbench development using Verilog, C and assembly language.

– Write scripts to automate the testbench developement.

– Writing behavioral models for memories & analog blocks such as ADC, DAC, PLL, etc.

The position requires the following skills:

• Good working knowledge of Verilog HDL.
• Strong scripting skills, ideally Perl, Tcl and Shell, but strong skills with another scripting language would be acceptable.
• Experience with programming an embedded microprocessor in C and Assembly language.
• Good grasp of EE fundamentals and verification principles.
• Ability to setup verification environment and testbench and perform top-level verification.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environment.
• Strong communication skills while working in a team environment.
  

Requirements:

8 – 10 years hands-on experience; MSEE and prior Microcontroller design and verification experience. Excellent opportunity to work in ASIC/Mixed-Signal design Environment.
