The program is looking for qualified product. The system applies state-of-the-art antenna and processing technologies to solve some of the most challenging requirements in the defense industry.
As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. Overall, this means that a careful examination of an applicant's background will be made before the assignment of such work including financial records, foreign national contacts, motor vehicle driving records, any criminal convictions, etc. In addition, determining whether or not a candidate may have been denied employment or special consideration on a particular defense contractor's special program are all important elements in the assessment process after an offer is made. Not being able to secure the special accesses needed on some programs may result in the termination of employment if other suitable work is not assigned.
Contingency:

Job Description:
Individual will perform reliability engineering tasks to support programs in the SAS Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems business unit. The individual will work independently to conduct the following tasks, as necessary, in order to influence system reliability:
-Reliability analyses (stress analysis, failure modes analysis, reliability predictions)
-Reliability tests (growth test, accelerated test)
-Failure resolution through active management of FRACAS system (failure analysis, cause & corrective action determination, failure reporting)
-Failure trending including support of failure review boards
-Reliability test support (ESS, HAST, Growth)
-Internal and external supplier interface to resolve reliability issues
-Testability engineering interface
-Trade study investigations (conformal coating, component packaging integrity/processing)
-Internal and external supplier interface to resolve reliability issues
Individual will assist functional and business management in making informed decisions.
Erroneous decisions or recommendations may result in a failure to meet the organizational objectives and damage the image of the organizations technical capabilities to the customer.
Basic Qualifications:
-4+ years of directly related work experience
-The individual must function independently to determine technical solutions to a wide range of reliability issues under only general direction
-Individual must be proactive in addressing reliability issues with the program design and production support teams
-Individual will work frequently with other disciplines as well as external customer reliability engineering representatives
-Individual must assist functional and business management in making informed decisions
-Individual must have good understanding and wide application of technical theories and concepts in the Reliability engineering field, including some understanding of complex electronic systems
-Must work well with all organizational levels and possess good technical writing & oral communication skills
- Current DOD Top Secret Clearance updated within the last three years
Required Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related field
