Job Description
Siemens is looking for a software project delivery lead with strong development experience interested in supporting an industry-leading enterprise software platform that maximizes the value of Siemens' new Meter Data Management solution for electric utilities. The ideal candidate will have experience problem solving and debugging, installing and configuring applications, in an enterprise software environment. Candidate will also provide client support. The candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team of support and deployment engineers, business/data analytics experts, QA and development engineers. The qualified candidate will have 8 - 10 + years experience in a fast-paced software environment and will contribute to the growth of the support services team in pursuing our goal of exceeding customer expectations in software support. The candidate should also be comfortable driving resolution of customer issues and bug fixes, installing and configuration the Metering Services Application (Training will be provided) and working well in front of customers. The candidate will also take on the role of Technical Lead for large software projects for electric utility operations clients. The individual will be involved in gathering software requirements, building a software solution for the client, installing the solution and, delivering the solution to the customer. Some travel is required, around 30-40%.
Ideal candidate must possess the following:
* Ability to be able to apply analytical and creative problem solving to functional requirements and facilitate application design.
* Ability to participate in the development of test plans and related documentation with minimal supervision using oral or written initial specification.
* Ability to install and configure the Metering Services Application Software (Training will be provided)
Able to prepare, lead, and document the requirements gathering workshops for the implementation of the MDMD product
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to clearly communicate with a wide array of individuals.
* Ability to clearly translate business practices into technical lingo.
* Ability to speak in public and make presentations to large groups and management
* Must have experience leading teams of technical individuals
* Ability to communicate complex technical contents plainly and simply
* Must be able to work under minimal supervision
* Must have knowledge or willingness to learn energy/electric utility industry.
