Malaga Bank, the largest community bank in the South Bay, is looking for an experienced New Accounts Representative for its Palos Verdes Estates branch.

Malaga Bank provides a positive, rewarding workplace for its employees and superior service to its customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Process all new account transactions
  • Assist customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services
  • Open/maintain/close all account types
  • Process wire transfers
  • Process statements, renewal notices and interest payments for IRA and CD accounts
  • Cross-sell the Bank's products and services

Job Requirements:

  • Fully knowledgeable in the areas of teller, vault, safe deposit and bank branch operations
  • 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in a financial institution, with a proven ability to achieve sales goals.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent telephone etiquette

New Accounts experience required. High school diploma or GED required. Candidates must possess the ability, and commitment, to offer the very best customer service experience to the Bank's customers.
