Program Manager, Department of Defense, Information Assurance Certification, Federal contracts

Duties: Manages the planning, execution, and controlling of K2Share's defense programs. Oversees operational and administrative management of the program; serves as principal point of representation and liaison with internal and external constituencies on operational matters, and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate. Works directly with Senior Program Manager to maintain strong account relationships and to drive program revenue.

  • Manages and oversees the administrative and daily operations of an international Department of Defense program
  • Designs and develops or assists with design and development of project(s) within the Program to affect revenue growth and customer satisfaction
  • Provides interim status reports on all key activities & milestones; oversees, coordinates, and/or assists with proposal writing to develop additional funding
  • Provides coordination and leadership in the execution of day-to-day program activities
  • Manages 10-15 direct reports and numerous contractors
  • Oversees and/or coordinates the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data; develops, writes, and presents comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports
  • Assists in establishing and implementing short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Collaborates with contacts throughout the agency and internally within K2Share to consolidate resources and enhance programs
  • Requires occasional work outside of normal business hours and 25-40% travel
  • Reports to the Senior Program Manager, Defense

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate will be familiar with information technology practices and procedures, including the following skills:

  • 7-10 years of experience in the information technology field with at least 5 years of demonstrated project management experience
  • Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain high-level clearance
  • Demonstrated work experience that is applicable to the duties listed on the job description
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense programs and directives
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or must be obtained within three months of start date
  • Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Experienced gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports
  • Adept in the use of computers and proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Integrated program development skills to include program planning, establishment and implementation
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting of subject matter experts, vendors, subcontractors, and clients

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal contracts and procurement
  • Information security certification (e.g. CISSP, GSEC, GSLC)

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher education required

Compensation: Commensurate with experience; range is $90,000-110,000 annually
