Handset Architect - Symbian

Opportunity:
Mobile Architect will help define direction/scope of development for the handset portion of the solution.
Responsibilities:
• Define handset architecture (for Symbian)
• Work with focused development team on solution implementation
• Work with the server-side architects and product managers to ensure a cohesiveend-to-end solution.
• Mentor the team and build mobile expertise
• Must have experience with development and commercialization of mobile systems/services
• Must be a direct contributor
Position Requirements:
• 5+ years experience, in handset development, with mobile media player architecture experience
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Understanding of and experience with mobile network protocols, and programming in 2G and 3G environments
• Requires Symbian experience, prefer Java ME, Windows Mobile, and BREW platform expertise
• Architecture and design skills, including UML
• Extensive experience with multi-threaded, resource-constrained devices
• Mobile space, industry and protocols knowledge, to include XML, OMA, and DVB-H
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Self-motivated - Able to undertake multiple tasks and roles
