| | This is a senior level position in the IT department focused on helping to set and implement the strategy for the company’s intranet applications. The position will have management responsibility for all aspects of custom web application development within the company. This person will act as a lead designer, implementer and manager of all corporate custom intranet applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for working with all departments to investigate intranet application goals and objectives and then work to establish a strategy to meet them.
• Responsible for managing a team of web applications developers and development partners to support our current intranet web infrastructure in addition to building out our next generation of online applications and Executive Dashboards.
• Responsible for establishing process and procedure in alignment with other groups to drive deliverables within the Development group.
• Work with the Business and Quality Assurance team to ensure our applications meet business requirements with very high quality and work across spectrum of browsers.
• Provide recommendations for process improvement and cost reductions at all levels of responsibility.
Position Specifications:
• Position requires a BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Over 8 year of IT experience with over 4 years experience in leading end to end applications development including staffing and project management.
• Must have a good understanding of web development using SharePoint / MOSS 2007.
• Must have good database designing skills. BI designing is a strong plus.
• Must have experience in working with off-shore development teams.
• Prior Hands on experience in coding with C#/.NET, Java/J2EE, PL/SQL, AJAX, JavaScript, Perl, PHP.
• Experience in building executive dashboards is a strong plus.
• The applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people and to present plans and ideas in front of a group.
• Good written and oral communication skills with sound problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills along with strong analytical and organizational skills a must.
