We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Claims Generalist to:

  • Serve as the initial customer contact and provide product expertise in claims processes.
  • Process claims within prescribed authority.
  • Answer coverage, loss prevention or claims questions while maintaining knowledge of all products and services to effectively answer telephone inquiries.
  • Provide technical expertise to credit unions by answering claims questions, resolving problems, communicate with field staff, insureds, and other CUNA Mutual departments via telephone, and Internet. Responsible for routing calls to the appropriate internal contacts for those issues not handled within the team.

Location: DFW ( Texas ) area

You must bring to the table . . .

  • Associate degree in Business, Insurance, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent trade-off in related professional work experience.
  • 2 years experience in claims adjusting or comparable experience in the commercial property and casualty lines field.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze insuring agreements to determine coverage applicability.
  • Demonstrate written and oral communications skills.
  • Demonstrated effective customer service skills as shown through previous assignments.
  • Demonstrated effective problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in PC operations including word processing and Web applications knowledge.
