Job Title: Checkpoint Firewall Admin/Engineer

Job Code: 1929

Location: Dallas , TX

Seeking an experienced and skilled firewall engineer/ administrator with extensive experience with Checkpoint firewalls. This position is responsible for configuring systems and providing security analysis and expertise on department projects using security policies, and knowledge of best practices. This individual will need to have a strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectly communicate security matters to individuals with all levels of technical experience

The position will report to the Manager of IT Security Operations.

Responsibility:

" Configuration of Checkpoint firewalls

" Firewall policy provisioning

" First level troubleshooting and response

" Conduct Firewall policy reviews for audit and rule reaccreditation

" Periodic on-call and after hours responsibilities

" VPN configurations and troubleshooting

" Systems monitoring and response

" Documentation of environment and processes

" Configuration and monitoring of Tipping Point intrusion prevention systems

Qualifications:

" 5 years of Checkpoint and security experience

" Information security experience with Checkpoint Firewalls, (SPLAT and Crossbeam based)

" Experience with IPSEC based VPN

" Through understanding of TCP/IP network based protocols, network design principles, network security issues

" Experience with working with networking and security devices. E.g. routers, firewalls, intrusion detection/ prevention (IDS/IPS).

" System administration experience with Windows or UNIX systems is a plus

" Comfortable with task planning and tracking

" Proven problem solving and troubleshooting ability

" Experience in a larger corporate environment a plus

" Technical certifications are a plus (CCSA, CCSE or CCSE+)

" Strong verbal and written communication skills

" Pass a criminal and general background check.
