IT Vendor Manager- Vendor Performance Manager

Responsibilities

Specifically, the IT Vendor Manager’s responsibilities will include:

· Understand and provide written evaluation of complex global vendor contracts
·

· Evaluate complex contracts and perform decision analysis on different contract variations

· Establish clear SLA ’s (service level agreements) and Key performance indicators KPI’s to monitor vendor performance via dashboards and/or other tools

· · Procurement and negotiation of vendor contracts: hardware, software and services

· Develop and conduct clear and concise presentations to executive management regarding benefits of proposed contracts

· Ensure vendors perform error analysis and take appropriate corrective action for each incident

· Assist IT Managers in navigating through various procurement related activities and approvals, providing purchasing expertise

· Monitor and track all procurement activities including new acquisitions and renewals , experience using dashboards and metrics to monitor vendor performace
·

· Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of a new Contract Management System
·

· Enhance company’s documented procurement processes


Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
· 8-10 years of Information Technology work experience
· Strong Project /​ Program Management experience, a minimum of 3 years
· Minimum 5 years in IT vendor management, procurement of complex IT contracts for software, hardware and services with well established SLA’s
· Ability to evaluate contract alternatives for complex IT contracts
· Capable of articulating complicated ideas and concepts in a precise and succinct fashion
· Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with diverse audiences; including proven management presentation skills and experience
Experience as a user of BI (business intelligence) in order to develop dashboards and metrics to monitor vendor performance
· Understands the business drivers for a large and diverse group of IT Hardware, Software and Service suppliers

Education
Candidate must have a BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or relevant discipline.​
