In this role of RN for Surgi Center some of your general responsibilities will include providing age appropriate care to support patients during surgical visit. You must be able to maintain a safe, aseptic environment within the OR, PACU, Pre-op area. Replenish supplies according to established par levels including medications and emergency treatment boxes. Demonstrate awareness of legal issues pertaining to the surgical patient and sensitivity to the patients' rights and privacy as identified in CMG policies. Understand patient transportation needs based on surgical procedure. Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks. Maintain flexibility regarding staffing/daily assignments and adjust priorities according to case schedule changes, in order to assist in providing safe, effective patient care. Valid California registered nursing license, ALCS certification and current CPR certification. One year recent experience in the operating room. Basic knowledge of airway management techniques and EKG rhythm recognition with treatment modalities. Current knowledge of anesthetic agents and related medications. Thorough knowledge of nusing procedures and terminology. Ability to perform acute nursing and clinical duties. Ability to adapt to changing situations under pressure.
