Audience Marketing Coordinator - great opportunity for future marketing guru to learn a lot!



Bobit Business Media seeks a Marketing Coordinator to support our busy Audience Marketing Department. The department is responsible for the marketing of 25 publications and their related websites. The environment is results oriented, and the team is accountable for the success of campaigns to both internal and external clients. We need someone who provides rock solid marketing support, keeps informed of emerging marketing channels (mobile, social media, etc.) and is thirsty to learn more about marketing and take on more responsibility over time.

Candidates must have a basic understanding of marketing principals, measurements and tools. Ideal candidates will be internet savvy and have strong analytical/logic skills. There will be on the job training, but we prefer someone with a background of tangible success/interest in marketing.

Duties:

  • Maintain various databases, run routine and special reports, distribute information and alert management to variances
  • Track & report campaign/promotion performance making recommendations for improvement as appropriate, with growth toward formulating, analyzing and more formally reporting on results
  • Perform new list and market research, online data research and collection
  • Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and demographics; maintain research databases
  • Schedule/coordinate traffic of promotions, update reports, query database for telemarketing files, approve telemarketing scripts per set criteria, and advise managers of progress towards goals
  • Run label file pre-close with fulfillment vendor
  • File BPA statements and postal statements of ownership
  • Schedule and coordinate stock orders
  • Manage in-house list rental requests, and update files with list management vendor


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Business highly preferred
  • Skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint
  • Database management and reporting
  • Marketing experience (direct, research, project management, reporting, copywriting, etc.)
  • Understanding of SEO/SEM/Social Marketing a plus
