The Tommy Hilfiger Internship Program offers bright, motivated individuals the opportunity to receive mentorship, supervision, and training while gaining valuable and realistic hands on experience and an introduction to the fashion industry. We have an exciting opportunity for an intern to work within our Planning department for the Fall 2009 semester. Please note that all internships are unpaid and for academic credit only. All candidates must provide written proof that they will be able to receive credit prior to beginning our internship program.

Individual would have to have an interest in retail, wholesale or fashion industries.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Analysis

  • Update core flow plan with monthly actual shipments
  • Monitor warehouse inventory by style/color /size – recap weekly shipments by account

Sales Analysis

· Provide weekly retail sales analysis to include:

    • Sales performance by style
    • On order
    • Sales by style/region
    • Ad-hoc analysis/recaps as needed

Merchandise Planning

  • Work with Director of Merchandising to manage the Business Strategy document by providing LY and actual shipped quantities by class
  • Analyze weekly/monthly/seasonal selling and report risks and opportunities for future seasons.

Requirements:

  • Able to work independently
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Retail math knowledge
  • Organized, ability to multi task
