The Role of a Technical Solutions Senior Project Manager
Within the Application Consulting Practice, a Technical Solutions Senior Project Manager plays the primary role of managing the day-to-day activities of our client engagements, and for ensuring the engagements are completed successfully – on time, within budget, and to the clients’ satisfaction.
Tasks may include project proposal writing, budget development and management, project personnel relations, client relations, subcontractor management, sales development, quality assurance, and related efforts. The successful candidate will have experience managing large-scale technology implementation engagements is necessary, especially with a focus on effectively managing time-constricted budgets and people. Individuals holding current Microsoft certifications are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will have polished multi-tasking and negotiation skills, impeccable customer service skills, the talent to actively lead presentations to clients (pre- and post-sales), and an excellent command of English language (both written and verbal),.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in the information technology/systems vertical with specific experience in either the application development or infrastructure implementation space
- 6 +years hands-on project management experience preferably within a professional services organization
- Excellent communication skills with specific experience presenting to senior management
- Strong customer focus with the ability to quickly recognize risks and opportunities
- Strong organization, analytical, and reporting skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Familiar with the SDLC and/or MOF or other IT related methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience as a consultant within a professional services industry
- PMI, ITIL, SRUM, EMC Proven, CMMI, Six Sigma, RUP certifications are a plus
- Strong knowledge of technologies within the Microsoft Technology Stack preferred
- Specific experience related to Exchange Migrations/Implementation, Unified Messaging, and/or SharePoint preferred
