Senior Human Factors Engineer

The Senior Human Factors Engineer is a member of the product development team working to design and deliver mobile ultrasound products that exceed customers’ expectations. They will conduct user centered research using a diversity of techniques (field visits/observation, interviews, usability testing, cognitive walkthrough, and contextual inquiry); be responsible for user needs identification, user interface design, and physical/ergonomic design of portable ultrasound systems and product accessories; and create user interface designs, prototypes, and detailed user interface design specification.

We require a MS Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science with HCI emphasis, or related field; 5 years relevant industry experience; Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Experience with design of medical diagnostic devices; Proven ability applying user-centered design and usability engineering principles to product research, development, and design. Work in partnership with other engineering groups (SW, HW, ID), marketing, clinical and regulatory; FDA or other regulated industry training and experience.
