Job Description Overview

The Platform Engineering team is
looking for a gifted, energetic, and seasoned Senior Director to join them in
delivering on this vision. We are an innovative team focused on architecting the
core frameworks used by hundreds of developers across the company to develop
applications that can be delivered seamlessly in either a SaaS environment or
installed behind the firewall in a single-tenant environment. We are proud of
the fact that millions of users use our applications on a regular basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Leading/managing the Platform engineering organization
consisting of Senior Manager/Director level management staff & highly
technical teams of software development & QA engineers across three
locations - Sunnyvale (CA), Atlanta (GA) and Bangalore (India)
• Manage multiple schedules & work streams across
On-Demand and CD (installed software) release trains simultaneously
• Establish a strong software development model for ensuring
consistent successful, on time and high quality delivery
• Work with the CTO and Architect to provide technical
direction for the Platform architectural layer that is aligned with the business
direction for the company's solutions
• Communicate with
sales, support, marketing, business development and other parts of the company
to ensure the product meets their needs
• Work with the
senior engineering leadership team to focus on broader organizational topics
like process, cultural improvements & people development
• Provide mentorship to individual contributors and managers
Basic Minimum Qualifications
•
Minimum 12 years of management experience & a proven track record of
shipping complex enterprise software products that meet the highest levels of
quality, scalability & performance standards
•
Strong technical skills with a background in developing & managing teams
involved in building underlying infrastructural layers in an enterprise software
architecture
• Excellent written and verbal
communication ranging from addressing the C-level staff to conducting
engineering wide all-hands meetings & 1-1 discussions
• Proven track record at managing complex projects
• Experience with On-Demand, multi-tenant enterprise
software applications
• Bachelors degree in CS or EE
from a top tier university
• Strong experience in
managing budget for a large organization including headcount and capital
expenditure
