The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the execution of communication strategies developed by Senior Management which will convey Sutter Connect organizational messages. A primary and ongoing responsibility of this position is to develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for the multi-facetted Project Transform initiative.
This includes plan development, research and writing documents for a variety of business communications vehicles, including employee relations communication, company newsletters and websites and/or special projects. The incumbent will be a creative thinker, able to develop and unify information from a variety of sources and be able to see the "Big Picture". This individual will be able to positively promote and clearly communicate information that can range from simple to complex to a varied audience, choosing from a variety of vehicles that will best communicate the message. This position requires appropriate discernment in dealing with sensitive and often confidential matters. This individual will be able to manage tasks, as outlined in communication plans, in order to effectively meet tight deadlines and goals. A. Education 1. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication or related field required B. Experience/Knowledge 1. 2-5 years experience in professional communications, media relations or writing experience in corporate, journalism, or agency setting required 2. Demonstrated writing experience required 3. Communications and writing experience in the field of health care is preferred C. Skills: 1. Demonstrated organizational skills required, including ability to maintain production schedules and strictly adhere to multiple timelines and budgets 2. Ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities required 3. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary 4.
