Demand Generation Campaign Manager

Description

The Campaign Manager will be responsible for end to end Direct and Online Marketing campaign design, execution, management, and reporting at Symyx. This position works directly with the Marketing team, CRM team, Vendors, and Virtual teams to determine campaign strategy and deliver campaigns for lead generation, with full analysis of campaign results. Heavy emphasis will be on innovative online campaigns and e-commerce efforts. Core responsibilities include:

  • Direct Marketing Campaigns
  • E-Marketing Campaigns
  • E-Commerce Campaigns
  • Telemarketing Campaigns
  • Online Events and Webcasts
  • Tradeshows and Conferences
  • Collateral
  • Ensure accurate measurement for demand generation campaigns and tactics (response rates, response to lead conversion, leads to sales opportunity conversion)
  • Report and optimize campaigns, to lead efforts to improve conversion

Qualifications:


Required:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Marketing or Business Administration
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience in Marketing, particularly in Online Marketing, Ecommerce, or Online Project Management
  • At least 3 years prior experience developing and executing online marketing projects, including testing, targeting and implementations
  • Experience working with CRM systems, such as Salesforce.com
  • In-depth knowledge of interactive marketing concepts, practices, and procedures such as email marketing, search engine marketing, affiliate marketing and customer relationship management
  • Experience and proficiency with both traditional marketing vehicles such as mail, email, customer events, as well as more current approaches such as webinars, web-meetings, twitter, and variety of social networking vehicles
  • Solid understanding of customer segmentation, product, sales and promotion analysis
  • Proven ability to translate product positioning and attributes to audience-specific messages and value propositions
  • The experience and ability to develop detailed audience profiling data in order to optimize list acquisition and/or audience reach
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to communicate at many levels -conceptually and tactically - including strategies, plans, activities, metrics, budget
  • A track record of generating leads as measured by specific sales-ready leads on specific campaigns
  • Outstanding overall leadership competence including an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed

Desired Experience:

  • Experience working with Eloqua or other Demand Generation platforms, and designing automated Marketing campaigns
  • Proficiency in web analytical tools
  • Previous experience in the Life Sciences industry
