The Performance Measurement Manager leads a small team of data professionals and data entry clerks at Primary Children's Medical Center. The team supports a variety of data needs related to hospital operations, quality, patient safety, process improvement, and research. Team responsibilities include:
· maintaining a set of ongoing reporting processes; · extracting data from Intermountain and PCMC information systems as needed; · designing new reports and reporting processes as needed; · responding to ad hoc requests for numbers, charts, and graphs; · consulting with data customers to design analytical approaches and/or data collection methodologies to solve specific problems. The team's services are in great demand, so the successful Performance Measurement Manager must ensure the team maintains a high level of productivity while upholding a high standard of quality. Skills in time management, delegation, coaching, and mentoring are essential. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. Five or more years experience in analysis and presentation of data pertaining to health care outcomes and/or health care operations. Experience leading projects and/or teams. Experience in the design and management of data collection and reporting processes. Competency in basic statistics. Advanced MS Excel skills. Competency in developing, designing and querying MS Access databases and/or relational database systems. Working knowledge of SQL. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Self-directed and motivated. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems. Ability to teach and mentor. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a clinical or quantitative field. Working knowledge of various Intermountain information systems, especially EDW. Formal training in quantitative analysis and/or statistics. Supervisory experience. Experience with one or more statistical software tool. Experience with one or more report design software tool.
