Business Analyst: United Online

MISSION
Play an integral role as Business Analyst of Web Based applications in FTD’s Information Technology department working on high profile initiatives within the company across all business units. The Business Analyst works with the business owners to gather business development needs, gather project requirements, and facilitate meetings. Includes analysis of best practices, existing business rules, usability, and competitive analysis.

DUTIES
1. Responsible for project management of several large projects in a quarter for FTD.com (Business to Consumer and Business to Business)
2. Responsible for full life cycle project management from conception until implementation to ensure successful implementation.
3. Prepares business / functional requirement documents, process flows, and use cases.
4. Presents project proposals for multiple solutions with benefit analysis.
5. Responsible for working with QA to ensure that all functionality is covered in test cases and responsibility for approving test cases.
6. Coordination of user acceptance testing.
7. Works with technical managers to review technical requirements.
8. Ensure that there is clear and timely communication to all business units affected by the project.
9. Responsible for supporting FTD applications via a 2-week rotating schedule where timely interaction with the FTD business units, third parties, and application users is required.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. 5+ years Business Analyst experience; ecommerce experience is a plus.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
3. Must be detail oriented, very organized, and a quick learner.
4. Experience with Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio & Access.
5. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to work on several very large and small projects at the same time.
6. Work independently as well as on a team, with an extremely high level of energy and commitment.
7. Excellent facilitator with strong leadership abilities. Ability to interact at the executive and director/manager level.
