MIPS has an opening at our Sunnyvale headquarters for a Software Support Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical resolution of support issues for our customers.

• Provide first line support for the MIPS GNU/Eclipse tool chain and Embedded Linux products.

• Cross-train in all software support areas.

• Work closely with Engineering to ensure our software products achieves a delightful out of the box customer experience.

Requirements:

• BSCS or equivalent with two or more years of applicable experience in software development or support preferred.

• Prior experience with microprocessor based embedded systems development, with expertise with GNU SW tool chain and Linux OS and device driver development.

• Knowledge of the “MIPS” microprocessor architecture is preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong problem solving skills and a passion for learning

• The successful candidate must be able to receive and/or access technology that may be controlled under U.S. or other export laws and regulations.
