Description : This employee will be a member of the Training team and will be focused on helping the team execute on strategic learning projects and objectives. This service-oriented role will support training delivery, learning systems, programs, activities and processes crucial to both the functional organization and to achieving HR goals.
This employee will work closely with the employee population, Line HR, HR Ops, and Systems as well as Corporate Services and external vendors and resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver employee training programs, track and analyze program performance, and recommend improvements. Assist with the instructional design and development of new programs, revise course materials and support the conversion of current resources and workshops into online resources. Level 1 contact and response for Training requests from both the employee population and line HR. Support and coordinate special projects i.e. acquisitions, employee engagement survey, performance management/focal, Technical Seminar Series, Global HR Conference, custom BU requests, etc. Administer, coordinate and market company-wide learning events and initiatives (includes logistics, scheduling, room booking, roster management, data entry, vendor management and communications). Develop, maintain and update Training online resources: LMS, SharePoint site, Global Training Calendar and shared drive folder. Support ongoing corporate training programs which may include EDA vendor training and weekly New Employee Orientation. Support ongoing dept. administration: external vendor management, training calendar creation, department budget and PO tracking, and manage training materials inventory and supply (development, ordering, assembly and shipping, storage). Performs additional duties as assigned. Job Requirements : The successful candidate will likely have experience in an industry with a technical or scientific component such as semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, defense, or manufacturing. At least 5 years experience or BA + 1 Year in a Human Resources or Training line or support role, preferably in a complex, fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface with employees at all levels. Strong organizational, project and time management skills and be ownership driven - a collaborative teaming style preferred. Should be a detailed multi-tasker proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint. Facilitation, problem-solving, research and decision-making skills required. Understanding of training processes and practices for adults; ability to express thoughts clearly and simply. Position may require travel within the US and Canada.
