TRICARE Program Manager - VP, Field Operations
This position is located in San Antonio, TX and will report to the UMVS COO with a reporting line directly to the UMVS CEO. This position is responsible for UMVS relations with the TRICARE Regional Office (TRO) and all relations associated with Military Treatment Facility (MTF) commanders, Base Commanders, Beneficiary Organizations and other associated groups that we serve throughout the TRICARE South Region.
This position is responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with all MTF commanders in the region and the TRO through the timely establishment and maintenance of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
This position will have the responsibility and authority to respond and solve local and regional issues that impact the TRICARE population in the TRICARE South Region.
This position will also be responsible for managing and staffing all TRICARE South Region TRICARE Service Centers (TSC) in coordination with the VP or Medical Management, Claims, and Enrollment and will ensure all required services are provided through the TRICARE Service Centers.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of executive level experience management experience leading large organization/business segment (300+ employees)
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or other advanced training is preferred.
- 7+ years in high rank position within United States Military and Military Health System Experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated track record of building, leading, and maintaining high performing team with a commitment to common goals and vision.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and motivate top talent.
- Anticipates and leads change through the organization, equipping staff to adapt quickly. This is a key attribute.
- Strong financial acuity; demonstrated ability to manipulate financial levers to accomplish goals.
- Has been in an environment where goals are established aggressively and results were clearly delivered.
- Structures business disciplines to facilitate quick and fact-based decisions while ensuring accountability for execution.
- Proven track record in effectively leading and managing project management teams to produce on-time, high-quality deliverables with a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to maximize customer linkages and aligns resources with strategic priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate up, down and with peers to find common ground, and obtain buy-in for strategies and tactics.
- Prior TRICARE experience a plus
- MUST be willing and able to live in SAN ANTONIO, TX or immediate area ONLY
