Initiate and develop business opportunities with sponsor representatives.
• Manages specific research projects as assigned by management ensuring optimum performance and results are achieved; and provides interim reports to clients.
• Regularly monitors all relevant projects to ensure they are in process / completed, as per specific project protocol, within timeframe. Ensure timely completion of Final Field Report and Data Summary as needed.
• Ensures compliance with all USDA, EPA, FDA and Sponsor rules and regulations.
• Provides guidance and technical knowledge to support personnel assisting them in conducting: project evaluations, GLP applications and sampling events to ensure quality results.
• Responsible for staying current with technical/industry practices and updating methodology as appropriate.
• Serves on and supports internal/external technical committees as required.
• Audits operations to ensure the staff is utilizing safe procedures while conducting tests and that housekeeping procedures are in compliance with Industry standards and Company policies and procedures are maintained.
• This position has direct and indirect responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of some support staff. Executes responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and the organization's policies which may include:
Interviewing and hiring part time staff,
training employees,
planning, assigning, and directing work,
appraising performance,
rewarding and disciplining employees
addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Conduct regular employee meetings to ensure that all personnel are completely informed with regard to policies, procedures and performance issues, for their development and improvement.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Agronomy, Biology, Agricultural Sciences or other related scientific disciplines.
• A minimum experience of three (3) years directly transferable research work. Preference given to experience in small and large plot research as well as a farming background.
• Comprehensive knowledge of field research procedures, including Efficacy, GLP, APHIS project management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and/or groups both within the organization or while representing the organization.

• Able to identify emerging shifts in the industry through the review of competitive analysis coupled with the ability to make sound suggestions or recommendations to maintain competitive advantages.
• Effective problem solving and analytical skills, with proven ability to see a project through to completion and delivery of Final Field Report within budget.
• Able to partner effectively with multidisciplinary and multinational teams
• Excellent time management skills which includes the ability to balance multiple projects concurrently (with different deadlines) and to marshal the resources necessary to accomplish them.
