Realistic Job Preview
Brake Check retail locations are open 7 days a week and it is our promise to the customer that we will stay late to complete a job if necessary. Many of our stores close at 6:30pm , but you will be required to stay later when a customer’s vehicle is in the shop and repairs are still ongoing.
Daily activities of Automotive Technician include but not limited to the following:
· Diagnose and repair brake systems
· Front end repair, including shocks, struts, and alignments
· Electrical system repairs, including starting and charging
· Assisting other team members
· Equipment and facility maintenance
Required skills and abilities:
· Ability to lift 60 lbs.
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours)
· Ability to bend and/or squat up to 20 times per hour
· Must have a valid TX driver license
Preferred skills and abilities
· Some automotive experience preferred, but not required
