Software Engineer – New College Grad

Education

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

Ø Design and implement production level software/firmware for highly integrated VLSI chip with embedded microprocessors for Digital Television products.

Ø Software maintenance and bug fixing. Quickly understand, modify and adapt existing code to changing requirements and issues found.

Ø Co-work with different S/W and H/W teams locally and globally.

Ø Do board bring ups. Expected to read and understand board schematics at high level. Expected to troubleshoot and debug software functionality at h/w board level while working with h/w engineers.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel and be on customer site when needed (included extended time visits).

Skills & Experience

  • Meet minimum education requirements with 0-2 year’s experience.
  • Quick learner; ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be proficient in both assembly code and C.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must possess organizational and communication skills
  • Must be skilled at multi-tasking
  • Experience with embedded s/w and RTOS is a PLUS.
  • Experience with writing s/w for analog, digital, and/or RF ICs are a PLUS.

· Experience with MPEG A/V is a PLUS.
