Navman’s Vehicle Tracking and Fleet Management Solutions uses real-time information to proactively and effectively organize a company’s mobile workforce with the ability to analyze a fleets historical performance utilizing a robust reporting suite to make improvements in efficiency and productivity, and reduce a company’s operating costs.

Navman currently has a vacancy for a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in our home office located in Glenview, IL.

About the Role:

The Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager, but will interact heavily with the Corporate and US Financial Controller in supporting the US fleet tracking entity. The Accountant will help maintain the integrity of the balance sheet and P&L and ensure that accurate information is available when needed. The selected candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and the flexibility to work in a growing company. This position requires the candidate to be a self starter and to be able to work independently.

Job Responsibilities:

· Calculate and process daily and monthly journal entries and accruals

· Maintain:

§ Intercompany balance sheet accounts

§ Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations

§ Bank Reconciliations

· Perform Adhoc and Routine Financial Statement Analysis as required by the accounting manager including:

§ Inventory Analysis and reporting

§ Balance sheet metrics reporting

· Performance of monthly close activities

· Assist with annual audit

· Perform basic reserve analysis

· Assist with global financial statement consolidation

· Calculate monthly sales tax liability and assist in return completion

· Calculate bi-weekly sales commission and monthly accrual adjustments

· Compile Weekly Sales reports

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· 4+ years of relevant accounting, analysis, and reporting in companies with inventory requirements. Manufacturing a plus.

· CPA certification / candidate a plus

· Strong communication skills required.

· Excellent organizational skills

· Credit & collections experience preferred

· Ability to develop creative solutions to complex issues

· Ability to perform accurate and detailed work

· Solid knowledge of accrual accounting and systems experience required.

· Must be highly proficient with Excel and have a good working knowledge /experience with day to day accounting activities including AR and AP.

· Experience with Quickbooks and SAP a plus.

This role works closely with other finance department team members and other corporate level employees. Communication and interfacing with customers is also key in this role.
