This
position facilitates data management and analysis associated with
research studies in ophthalmology. Under the direction of the Research
Associate, s/he will assist Investigators and their study teams to
conduct research studies, maintaining appropriate records and databases
to be used for analysis.
The incumbent will support data
management and analysis of preclinical and clinical research studies
including clinical trials and epidemiological projects. S/he will
provide support in the development and management of study databases as
well as analysis and interpretation of study data. S/he will maintain
libraries, presentations, and other materials necessary for grant
writing and publication of study findings.

| Requirements |
1.
Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences or a related field with 1-3
years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree in Public Health or
related field. 2. Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills 3.
Facility with database management and data analysis highly desired,
experience in a clinical research setting strongly preferred. 4. Advanced experience with database management (e.g., Paradox) and statistical analysis software (e.g., Stata) packages. 5. Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications. 6. Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to policies and procedures is required. 7. Effective organizational skills; effective follow-through, and commitment to excellence. 8.
Effective professional communication skills: Ability to communicate
with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner. 9. Must be able to multi-task and provide support of multiple projects in various stages. 10.
Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to work with personnel, both
inside and outside the MEEI at all levels to gather information,
communicate compliance requirements and handle complex issues within an
often-sensitive political environment. 11. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. |
