Scope of Responsibility: Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations and activities of workers in the branch. Duties and responsibilities include managing daily operations, and planning the use of assets and human resources to maximize customer service and profitable revenue growth.

Job Duties: (including but not limited to):
  • Responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost effective operation of the branch in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the corporate office.
  • Responsible for revenue attainment, net profit, payroll and miscellaneous cost control of the operation in accordance with the assigned budget and goals established by the corporate office.
  • Maximize branch profitability and growth through safeguarding company assets, aggressive sales programs, personnel development, effective fleet utilization and maintenance, efficient customer service and expense control procedures.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions within the operation.
  • Manages the new employee orientation process and approval of all payroll information.
  • Oversee classified advertising with H.R. and retail advertising with Marketing.
  • Ensure all cash controls are properly and consistently implemented.
  • Ensure a bank deposit is made each business day with Saturday and Sunday business deposited the following Monday.
  • Insures the timely and cost-effective settlement of all customer complaints.
  • Directs, trains, motivates, and provides guidance on a continuing basis and evaluates the performance of employees to achieve branch objectives.
  • Closely coordinate the activities of the various branch functions with appropriate branch staff and confers with them on a continuing basis concerning branch operations, making recommendations to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure the branch is in compliance with the Safety program and maintains a proactive approach to an accident-free environment.
  • Ensure the branch is in compliance with all Stanley Steemer International policies and procedures and all applicable local, state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement positive and consistently applied employee relations practices.
  • Performs and documents crew visits and checks on quality workmanship on a weekly basis.
  • Can functionally use PowerMagic software to complete all related job responsibilities.
  • Is well versed in the Customer Service Advisor script and able to coach others.
  • Reviews reports daily and makes necessary changes and decisions to increase sales, profitability, and quality workmanship.
  • Responsible for the recruitment and retention of all personnel.
  • Implements the Train the Trainer concept for all applicable roles.
  • Oversees and is directly responsible for the training and development of all branch employees, including cross-training of all employees.
  • Works closely with Human Resources in claims handling for worker’s compensation and unemployment.
  • Ensures the branch is in compliance with the Stanley Steemer Drug-Free Workplace Policy.

Requirements:

Degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Several years of work-related experience involving coordinating, supervising, managing or training others. Computer literate using Windows, experience with Microsoft Office and Excel. Skills: Typing 45wpm, grammer/spelling, oral and written communication, sales, basic mathematics, and organization. Occasional travel for travel and meeting purposes.
