REINSURANCE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Summary Job Description

Enstar (US) Inc., growing international insurance & reinsurance run-off management

company headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida seeks a qualified candidate for the

full-time position of Reinsurance Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

Complete financial reporting for complex insurance programs.

Reporting current financials on a monthly, quarterly and adhoc basis to internal

and external audiences

Interpret contracts and record appropriate reinsurance accounting transactions.

Work closely with internal groups to insure data quality, perform data analysis

and to identify and resolve key issues.

Develop systems and internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements.

Communicate with external brokers and reinsurers with regard to claims and

reinsurance processing.

Liaise with other departments such as Claims, IT and Legal.

Adhere to all internal department protocols and documentation requirements

including sign-offs, reports, etc.

Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned including due diligence on new target

acquisitions.

Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent experience.

Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.

Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office

applications.

Ability to learn new systems.

Ability to meet strict deadlines by prioritizing tasks and projects appropriately.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with senior-level staff

and clients.

Problem solving skills with the ability to start an analysis at a detail level and

develop the big picture.

Knowledge and understanding of reinsurance/insurance preferred, but not

required.

Minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience.
