Responsible for providing diabetes self-management training for patients with diabetes to optimize their success with long-term behavior changes and controlling diabetes. Requirements include current Registered Dietitian (updated with the Commission on Dietetic Registration) with a certification in diabetes education through the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators preferred. Minimum two years experience in one-on-one counseling with patients and families in clinic or hospital setting. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to work autonomously Needs to have interest in health promotion and be a role model.
