HR Generalist to oversee & manage many aspects of HR in a large retail distribution facility



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist in reviewing daily all employee punches/timecards for accuracy and completeness.

· Manage the recruiting and hiring process of all exempt and nonexempt team members including job fairs, monitoring job boards, setting up and conducting phone screens, and doing in house interviews of hourly team members

· Coordinate and manage hourly 30-60-90 day review process for hourly team members

· Oversee all areas of benefits such as medical, dental, life, vision, and short/long term disability

· Assist in new hire orientation as needed

· Assist in employee investigations and make disciplinary recommendations

· Review and balance punch detail every week to ensure proper payment of all temp agency employees.

· Assist in recommending, creating, and administering corrective actions

· Conduct training as needed

· Handle all FMLA and LOA through partnership with corporate

· Handle all 401(k) administration through partnership with corporate

· Oversee the HR database

· Provide assistance to all employees regarding human resource issues

· Perform other duties and special projects assigned

· Follow all standard operating procedures and best practices within the department

· Meet all safety requirements and conditions in assigned area

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor degree in HR or similar field preferred

· 2-5 years of Human Resources experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Kronos, ADP or ability to learn as needed

· Organized with ability to perform detailed analysis with the ability to communicate in an effective manner with all levels of the organization.

· Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines

· Ability to prioritize workload

· Ability to work independently with little supervision.

· Ability to work in an office environment with various personalities in a positive and productive manner.
