Position Title: Social Worker I (LBSW) Grade Level: 11 FLSA: Exempt Reports To: Social Work Supervisor
Summary: Provides comprehensive case management supportive counseling, and referrals to individuals and families to support the efforts of all staff to include Methodist Healthcare Ministries, as well as other agencies and organizations throughout the community to meet the Mission , Key Objectives and Core Values of the organization.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Social Work and two years case management or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Fluent in English. Bilingual with Spanish preferred.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Certificates and Licenses: Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word processing software, Excel spreadsheet software and electronic health records.
Other: Ability to drive and have access to a car; maintain current driver’s license and auto liability insurance.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to an office and residential environment having direct contact with patients and clients. Position may necessitate bending, stooping, twisting, turning, walking, climbing step stools, sitting and standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift and maneuver 15 pounds.
