Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of acquisition logistics experience or equivalent. Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification/training with knowledge of DoD 5000 acquisition process, Acquisition Professional Certification preferred. Experience with Marine Corps Command and Control Systems desired. Successful candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be an effective team player.
Job Description : The Maneuverability and Mobility Division currently has an opening for a Mid Level Logistician supporting an ACAT I program. The selected individual will provide acquisition support for Marine Corps programs at NSWC Crane. The Logistician will be part of a team of logistic analysts and/or engineers. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of DoD 5000 acquisition requirements to design, develop, test, field, and sustain Marine Corps systems. Typical duties will include providing technical review of Contractor ILS deliverables, developing logistic planning documents, supporting logistic assessments, preparing logistic program briefings, and performing logistic planning functions as directed. The Logistician will have direct interface with Government agencies, prime contractors, and subcontractors. The individual will develop, update, and revise documentation associated with Facilities Management Plan, Item Unique Identification Plan, Supportability Plan, In-Service Management Plan, Maintenance Plan, and Source of Repair Analysis. The documentation will be interpreted and tailored in accordance with DoD standards and directives and MARCORSYSCOM policies. The individual will be familiar with the logistics software and tools provided to include SYSPARS, PowerLog-J, and COMPASS as well as other Military applications. Must be proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Acquisition Logistics. Design, build, and assist with fielding plans, logistics support, and configuration management. 2) Review drawings. Research databases to determine technical documentation requirements, reliability, maintainability, and availability; life cycle impacts; source issues; and configuration impacts. 3) Perform inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, and property control in support of various supply activities and/or equipment installations. 4) Develop, execute, maintain reviews and comments on logistics support plans, policies, procedures and similar data. Recommended improvements to enhance the process. 5) Support maintenance planning systems, perform maintenance planning tasks. 6) Demonstrates development and application of new systems, processes, or techniques that contribute to the achievement of business area goals. 7) Apply knowledge of procedures and systems to a broad range of basic issues.
