Regional Sales Rep for Reference Books



Major book publisher seeks a Regional Sales Representative for their reference division. The Rep would cover the Central US region and sell primarily to libraries and academic/government institutions. Products include both print and electronic formats. NOTE: This is an inside sales role, with very low travel. Based in New York City.

Job responsibilities include:
- Prospecting, territory development, and client relations
- Sales reports/analyses; Sales meetings
- Maintaining a heavy daily call rate in order to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Account management

Job requirements include:
- 2 years prior experience in publishing sales (reference a plus)
- College degree
- Experience in account management and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: Please note that the compensation for this job is in the $40k range, although could vary based on the candidate. Please do not apply if you are too senior.
